Technical analysis vs Fundamental analysis
If you start investing and read this weekly magazine and/or follow YouTubers or read books about investing, you will notice that they often focus on either technical analysis or fundamental analysis.
- Technical analysis = looking at stock charts and making predictions for the short, medium or long term based on the charts.
- Fundamental analysis = the arguments for investing don't come from charts but from the underlying results, especially the company's expected future results (the outlook).
Some YouTubers specialize in technical analysis and are convinced that it can often predict the future. They do this using patterns (such as the shoulder/head/shoulder pattern). This is often seen as the primary analysis tool among swing traders.
Other YouTubers specialize in fundamental analysis. These are often the more long-term investors. After all, a company will eventually reach its fair value if it consistently performs well. This is often a good way to find bargains on the stock market. After all, the stock price isn't always linked to the underlying asset.
Looking at it from a sober perspective, it is good to understand both and learn about both as best as possible.
At Fintube Digest, you get both weekly because we follow both fundamental and technical YouTubers in their analyses and summarize and analyze them ourselves into a condensed product for people who want to learn but don't have the time to watch all the videos themselves.
